Calendar

Our club paddles are generally restricted to members of the Deben Canoe Club. See below for activities open to non-members and visitors. All paddles require appropriate equipment and experience, except pool sessions which are open to complete beginners and all kit is provided. If you hire club equipment then it will be appropriate for the relevant paddle.

Participation in the regular club Wednesday and Thursday evening paddles generally requires completion of an introductory beginners course. New and prospective members who feel they are already at that standard may also be allowed to paddle at the lead coach's discretion. Requirements for other paddles, including regular Sunday paddles, one-off paddles and trips away from the Deben are set out in detail in the email sent to all members introducing the paddle. Please read these emails carefully to avoid disappointment on the day.

Non-members and visitors can join us at a pool session without pre-booking. Prospective members may also join us on a regular Wednesday or Thursday evening paddle at the discretion of the lead coach on the day. Wednesdays are less demanding than Thursdays. If you are in any doubt about your ability please feel free to contact us in advance by email.

You might be able to add the DCC calendar to the calendar app on your phone or tablet, so that you can see the DCC events alongside your own calendar entries. If you use the Google Calendar app it might be as easy as clicking the '+ Google Calendar' link on the calendar box above (bottom right).The public URL for the calendar is https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=debencanoeclub.schedule%40gmail.com&ctz=Europe%2FLondon.

If you use the iCal app on an Apple device, the address for the DCC calendar is https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/debencanoeclub.schedule%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics. Enter this address in Settings>Calendar>Accounts>Add Account>Other>Add Subscribed Calendar in the space marked 'Server'. Note that you add the calendar as >Other> not >Google>! Good luck!
