River Wye Easter Trip 2022 DCC International Lamb Rescue!

Over the Easter Bank Holiday 8 paddlers from Deben paddled almost 50 miles on the River Wye. On the final day, we were redoing the paddle from Glasbury to Whitney on Wye when we spotted a lamb in deep water. They had fallen down a cliff into water up to their chest and there was no way back up again. David (in the Open Canoe) managed to lift the lamb out of the water, and I was then able to push them to an area where the bank had collapsed, so that the lamb could be lifted back onto the land. As can be seen in the final picture, it ran back to its mum.
